The Secret of Life is Enjoying the Passage of Time

the curls. still going strong.

is there anything better than that fresh from a nap sleepy face??

my grown up girlie.

the crawling method. one foot and one leg.

it works. i guess.

it really amazes me how quickly the days pass. charlie is now ten months. eden is my big preschooler. and i am plodding along. we smile. we read books. we play. we learn to climb stairs. we eat yummy food. life happens. right before my eyes.

eden and i went on a mommy daughter date today. actually it was just normal errands. but since it was just us, i tried to make it into something special. (charlie was at home with grandma debi for those who were wondering.) we banked, we bought baby food, we returned and acquired items at nordy rack. then we went to golden spoon. and she told me there was an "e" on the wall. i loved our time together. and most importantly, so did she.

and now charlie is waking up from his nap. and time marches on. and i endeavor to always enjoy it. thank you james taylor.

We totally missed each other. Niels is home, and I am house/kid watching in your turf in sunny CA. Hopefully there is a "next time" soon. I am sure there probably is with the grandparents in Vegas, let's be honest.

I love the title of this post. It is so true! I too love spending good time with my little darlings, making things memorable (and isn't it just great going out with ONE kid?!). I often think, "there will never be another September 30, 2008 (fill in the date with any)." Which gets me thinking, "so what am I doing today to etch it?" I don't do a whole lot usually, but I do think about it... :)
