Straight Hair Nienie

Eden has the most beautiful curly hair ever.

And she knows how much I love her curls.

But

She always talks about straight hair

and that one time we used my flat iron to straighten her hair.

So I thought we would try again.

This time with a roll brush first

and then the flat iron.

The results:

my little model loved every minute.

she kept asking me to take more pictures.

after all the presents had been opened, we got all gussied up for dinner

Christmas Morn

dawned early

okay 7:45 is not early to most people

but it is to me

our beautiful tree

Twas the Night Before Christmas

we headed over to the johnson's (my brothers in-laws) for some singing and such

(don't mind eden's mad face. she always refuses pictures for at least ten minutes. on principle.)

it's not a complete party without gigi. so glad she was there.

Quick Visits are the Best

my parents came down for a quick weekend just before christmas. they got right to work.

and while the kids were happily engaged, i snuck off for a hot shower all to myself!

that night we all (minus the kiddies) went to ride on the hobbins' boat for the newport boat parade. i was a little lazy on the picture taking but did manage this one of me and my honey.

it was a great time and really got me in the spirit of the season. not to mention some inspiration for future christmas lights!

eden goes to a very small preschool, which i love, and thus her program was rather small.
