my parents came down for a quick weekend just before christmas. they got right to work.
and while the kids were happily engaged, i snuck off for a hot shower all to myself!
that night we all (minus the kiddies) went to ride on the hobbins' boat for the newport boat parade. i was a little lazy on the picture taking but did manage this one of me and my honey.
it was a great time and really got me in the spirit of the season. not to mention some inspiration for future christmas lights!

I just have to say that Cason and I can't stop talking or thinking about the dinner you made the other night. We went to Trader Joe's last night and bought some arugula, and those small potatoes. We can't wait to use them!!! Thanks for the great ideas. If you have anymore yummy ideas send them my way!!!

i wish we could have gone to the boat parade. sounded so fun. maybe next year! we were busy with baby this year :) those pics of your kids with their grandparents are darling!
