Fending for themselves

at least i know that if something were to happen to me they wouldn't starve.

and speaking of fending for themselves,
is it normal to feel like a whole other person when the kids aren't around?
what i mean is
i feel like i am so preoccupied worrying about them anytime i go anywhere with them that
i am a total dud and no fun at all.
but when i am out and about without the children i find my funny side again and
let loose.
i am wondering if this will change when they are a bit older and i don't have to constantly worry that they are into something or breaking something or in charlie's case
escaping out the front door.

any thoughts?

I totally agree and feel the exact same way! Seriously Between watching Sofia, and watching Sofia some more it's difficult to be as social in certain situations because you can only give away so much of your attention while still trying to totally focus on the child or children that you have! I am not sure of the solution except for that we just need to go out more often with just us girls so that we can have some real fun every once in a while! Love Jules

As they get a little older and you have more "freedom" you come back into your own personality a little more.

I remember reading about how a 3 yr. old could live for quite a while by themselves (in their home) if something happened to their parents--what was that--can't remember darn it!
