insight from a 3 1/2 yr old

a couple of things eden said to me while we were watching the inauguration:

"mom i want barack obama to give another talk." -after his inaugural address. apparently there were a few points he forgot to cover.

"i want barack obama to get in the helicopter." -she could not understand why george bush was getting in the helicopter and not obama.

"he is not our president. he is someone else's." -in reference to bush no longer being our president.

e- "why do they go to the airport?"
mommy- "cause that is how it is done."
e- "no that is not how it is done." -she knows all folks.

we enjoyed watching the coverage of the inauguration this morning. (i did feel a little bad for bush when obama said we had to dust ourselves off and get america back on track. it's not like he singlehandedly put our country in recession.)

all in all it was nice to take part in a such a historic day. from my couch no less.

god bless america.

good luck president obama!!

I actually didn't get to watch ANY of it! Maybe a little tonight on the news, I hope. Obama is an incredible speaker. I did hear a few things on the radio. I also heard when he thanked Pres. Bush for the last 8 years and all he's done that only a handful of people clapped--SO WEAK. Bush gave the last 8 years to us! I agree--he didn't single handedly get our economy where it is.

One more thing, I can totally hear Eden saying, "no, that is not how it is done." Oh. . . Ni Ni

Eden has such a sweet and funny personality. My favorite was a few Sunday's ago when Max and her were leaving their class she said while holding up her little finger "wait Max, I need a hug." She cracks me up. We seriously should have these two kids play together more often. They get along so well together.

So cute! Love the things they say.

Hey, do you want to come down to the park next week? Katie and I were going to meet up one day with a few other people...
